From DJ Danley to Sonar Audio Visual
For years the work went out under the name DJ Danley, and plenty of people in Jacksonville still know it that way. The name changed in 2025 because the work had: what started as a DJ booth became sound systems, concert-grade lighting, projection, silent disco systems and special effects, and clients were increasingly booking the production rather than the playlist.
Sonar Audio Visual LLC was registered in Florida in February 2025. The crew, the gear and the phone number did not change.
Who you actually get
Danley runs music, lighting and effects. He is the one building the rig, programming the lighting and reading the floor. Chris works as MC on most weddings and larger events — introductions, announcements, timeline cues, and keeping a room moving between moments. DJ Kim and additional crew come in as the event needs them.
The reason our reviews keep naming two people is that most of our events have two people. Weddings especially: having a dedicated MC means the person speaking to two hundred guests is not simultaneously cueing the next track.
What we believe about events
Most of the value is in preparation. The sound check that happened before guests arrived. The venue call that established cold sparks were allowed. The written timeline that meant the recessional was cued before the kiss. Very little of it is visible on the night, which is exactly the point.
We would rather tell you what we do not do than find out together on show day. We do not do LED video walls and we do not do full front-of-house mixing for live bands with big input counts. Everything on this website is something we own or operate.
