The difference between a party and a room with music in it
Most private events are held somewhere neutral — a hall, a clubhouse, a back room, a back yard, a garage. Left alone, those spaces stay lit like what they are, and the music comes from a speaker in the corner that nobody can hear over conversation.
What changes it is not more volume. It is coverage so the music is even everywhere instead of deafening in one corner, lighting that changes the room when the night changes gear, and somebody reading the floor and choosing the next song accordingly.
Events we do
Milestone birthdays — 30th, 40th, 50th, quinceañeras and sweet sixteens. Anniversaries and vow renewals. Graduation parties, which are a big part of what we do here in spring. Family reunions and homecomings. Holiday parties and New Year's Eve. Neighbourhood, block and community events. Retirement parties, housewarmings and backyard celebrations.
We also run recurring community work — a Westside Halloween block party we have done five years running, and family nights like a Daddy Daughter Dance at The River Club here in Jacksonville.

DJ Danley & Sonar AV is top notch! They have been supplying the music and special effects for the livest Halloween block party on the Westside for past 5 years. They even dress up for the theme each year. Sparkler machines, bubbles, fog.
Danley and Chris definitely made my birthday hands down the best party I’ve ever had in my life! They were energetic and funny. They also brought some pretty cool lighting that helped create a nightclub atmosphere all for me.
Danley and Chris know exactly how to throw down and party! They kept the energy flowing, hyped up the crowd throughout the night, they picked solid music choices, lighting was excellent, and they were professional throughout the whole process from start to finish. Questions we get asked
How much does a private party DJ cost in Jacksonville?
It depends on hours, room size and what lighting and effects you want. Sound starts at $250 and lighting at $200; the pricing page shows what packages and add-ons cost. Send us the details and you will get one number for the whole night.
Can you do a backyard or garage party?
Yes, and we do a lot of them. Outdoors needs a word about power and about neighbours — sometimes the honest answer is a smaller rig or an earlier finish, and we will say so.
Can guests request songs?
Yes. Every Sonar event gets a code guests enter at our song request page to request and upvote tracks. Your do-not-play list still wins.
Do you do school and community events?
Yes — school dances, graduation nights, block parties and community programming are a regular part of our calendar, including a Westside Halloween block party we have run for five years.
How late can you go?
As late as your venue allows. If the venue has a hard curfew and you want the night to continue, ask about silent disco — it is the standard answer to a noise cut-off.
