What we carry, what it is for, and — just as usefully — what we do not do.
Audio

What we do not do
Worth reading before you enquire, so nobody wastes anybody's time.
We do not provide LED video walls — our video capability is projection onto screens. We do not provide full front-of-house mixing for live bands with large input counts; DJ-led, playback-led and speech audio is what we do. We do not provide staging, decking or rigging structures — we build onto what the venue or a staging vendor provides. And we are not yet set up for festival audio at a scale of many thousands of people.
If your event needs any of those, tell us anyway. We would rather point you somewhere good than take a booking we cannot do properly.
Equipment questions
What gear do you bring to a typical event?
Enough audio to cover the room or footprint, concert-grade lighting, at least four wireless microphones, and whichever effects you have booked. The exact rig is scoped from your venue and headcount rather than being the same van-load every time.
Do you have backup equipment?
Yes, on the things that stop an event dead: spare wireless microphones, a redundant music source and spare cabling. A single device failing should never end your night.
Can you handle a room of 400 people?
Yes. Tell us the room dimensions and the headcount and we will confirm what it takes. If a space needs more than we would bring, we will tell you rather than under-spec it.
Do you provide projection and screens?
Yes — projection onto screens for slides, video, presentation playback and projected imagery for installations. We do not do LED walls.
Do you carry insurance?
Venues that need a certificate of insurance should contact us at info@sonarav.com and we will handle it with them directly.
Can we rent equipment without an operator?
For simple static setups sometimes, but our default is that somebody from Sonar stays on site. See sound and PA rental.
What happens if it rains at an outdoor event?
We agree the weather call in planning — what gets covered, what gets struck, and who decides and when. Equipment goes under cover or it does not go out.
