The AV is only noticed when it fails
Nobody leaves a conference talking about the microphones. They leave talking about the keynote they could not hear, the slide deck that would not come up on the screen, or the twenty minutes lost while somebody looked for an adapter.
Corporate AV is a logistics job more than a gear job. It is knowing the load-in window, arriving with the adapters your presenters will actually have, testing every wireless channel in the room before the room fills, and having somebody standing at the back for the whole session who can fix a problem in thirty seconds instead of thirty minutes.

How an engagement runs
You tell us the venue, the room, the date and what has to happen in it. We come back with a scope and a price — what we bring, when we load in, who is on site and for how long. On the day we arrive inside the venue's window, build, test with real content, and run the session. At the end we strike and get out of the venue's way.

- PlaybackRecorded audio and video run from our system, tested with your actual files before the session.
- Projection and screensSlides, video and presentation playback with the adapters presenters actually turn up with.
- Stage and event lightingPresenters lit so they read on camera and from the back of the room. Uplighting where the room needs colour.
- A technician in the roomSomeone on site for the whole session, not a drop-off and a phone number.
- Delivery, setup and strikeInside the venue window, cabled safely, and cleared at the end.

Reflections of Jacksonville — Downtown Vision
29 W. Duval Street, Downtown Jacksonville
A multisensory gallery installation for Downtown Vision's Individuality Complex series. Sonar supplied the silent disco headphone system carrying the exhibition's soundscape, paired with projected imagery, so visitors moved through the space with the audio travelling with them rather than fighting the room.
A cultural installation rather than a party — the kind of brief where the audio has to disappear into the work.
Community and recurring events
Jacksonville & Westside
Sonar has run the audio, lighting and effects for a Westside neighbourhood Halloween block party five years running, and for family and community nights including a Daddy Daughter Dance at The River Club in Jacksonville.
Recurring work is the honest test of a production vendor: organisations that have to book again next year keep booking.
What we do and do not cover
Knowing where a vendor stops is worth more than a capability list that turns out to be optimistic on show day.
We cover
Speech and playback reinforcement — presenters, panels, awards, ceremonies, announcements and recorded audio. Wireless microphones, lectern and lapel. Projection onto screens for slides, video and playback. Stage, event and intelligent lighting. Uplighting. Special effects. Silent disco headphone systems. DJ and MC where an event wants one. Delivery, setup, technical operation during the event, and breakdown.
We do not cover
Full front-of-house mixing for live bands with large input counts, and LED video walls. Those are real disciplines with real gear behind them and we would rather refer you than learn on your show. If your event needs either, tell us — we will say so early and, where we can, point you at someone who does it properly.
Corporate AV questions
Do you stay on site for the whole event?
Yes, unless you specifically want a drop-off setup. For conferences, panels and award nights there is a technician in the room for the duration — that is most of the value.
Can you work inside our hotel or conference venue’s rules?
Yes. We work to the venue’s load-in window, their power, their rigging rules and their insurance requirements. Send us the venue contact and we will deal with them directly rather than putting that on your team.
Can you handle presentations from multiple presenters’ laptops?
Yes. Tell us how many presenters and what machines they are bringing and we will arrive with the adapters and a tested changeover plan, rather than discovering the problem live.
Do you do LED walls?
No. We do projection onto screens, which covers most conference and meeting requirements. If your event genuinely needs an LED wall we will tell you that up front instead of selling you something else.
What does corporate AV cost?
It is quoted per event, because a panel for forty people and an awards night for four hundred are not the same job. Send the room, the date, the headcount and what has to happen and you will get a real number — not a starting-from figure that grows.
How much notice do you need?
More is better, but we regularly turn around corporate work inside a fortnight. Call rather than email if your date is close.
